Mohan has over 36 years of experience in dentistry and has been providing dental implant treatment for more than 20 years. His particular interests include dental implantology, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and smile makeovers.
Mohan excelled academically during his dental training and was awarded the Mark Ball Prize in General Pathology and Medical Microbiology. His interest in understanding the causes of disease has remained central to his approach to dentistry and led to his MSc research into peri-implant disease and the long-term health of dental implants.
He has undertaken extensive postgraduate training, including a Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an MSc in Dental Implantology, awarded with Merit.
Education has also been an important part of Mohan’s career. For around 15 years, he has mentored newly qualified and postgraduate dentists, helping them develop their clinical skills and confidence.
Mohan was a Finalist for Dentist of the Year – South in 2020, as well as Best Treatment of Nervous Patients and Best Employer in 2019. Optima Dental Care has also been recognised as a finalist in several national dental awards, including Practice of the Year and Best Team.
Outside dentistry, Mohan enjoys spending time with his family and supporting charitable causes.
